MEDITATION • WELL-BEING • CLAIRVOYANCE

The desert rose is an evaporite rock whose main mineral in its composition is gypsum.

This crystal, whose shape evokes that of a rose or a star, provides well-being and calm. It is fragile and must be handled with care.

The benefits of sand rose in lithotherapy

How is the desert rose formed?

The desert rose is a natural curiosity that takes its name from its shape and the place where it forms.

This stone is formed by the evaporation of water, then by crystallization of minerals underground, this phenomenon occurring mainly in the desert.
Formed from soluble gypsum located in groundwater a few meters below the sand. Sunlight and heat cause the water to evaporate, while the gypsum crystallizes and gradually wraps itself around the waterlogged sand particles and sediment.
The arrangement of the formed rock is reminiscent of the petals of a rose.
They are then visible on the surface of the ground following strong winds that sweep the sand, digging it up to a meter deep where these formations are buried. However, they do not remain visible for very long because they are damaged by the wind and return to dust.
