At Marylise Mirabelli , we have chosen to use plant-based alcohol in our perfumes.
Natural organic wheat alcohol (without pesticides or chemical fertilizers) can replace synthetic ethanol alcohol created in the laboratory, to dilute concentrates.
Our eco-responsible ethic combines quality and well-being, and thus respects your skin and the planet.
What is the purpose of alcohol in perfume?
The addition of alcohol occurs at the time of “putting into alcohol”, and will serve to:
- Distill the concentrate
This process will determine the nature of the perfume. Depending on the percentage of alcohol, which will be supplemented by the perfume concentrate, the finished product will be an eau de cologne, an eau de toilette, an eau de parfum, or an extrait de parfum.
- Fix and enhance the perfume concentrate
Alcohol helps to enhance the raw materials of the perfume. Once the perfume is sprayed, the alcohol quickly evaporates, leaving only the odorant molecules.
- Preserve the perfumes
It is the alcohol in particular that will allow the perfume to be preserved perfectly after opening.
Properly storing your perfumes will also ensure they last longer so they don't lose their olfactory qualities. Keep them away from light, humidity, and heat, so avoid storing them in the bathroom or placing them in front of a window.
It is important to offer the cleanest fragrances possible, which is why we have selected environmentally friendly elements.
All our fragrances are also vegan and not tested on animals.
